    • It's been a long time since I read this series. Unlike the earlier Belgariad and Mallorean as well as the Ellenium, etc. this series has little of the tone, characterization, or plot building skills that attracted me to Eddings in the first place. I started my addiction to Fantasy/Swords & Sorcery with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and read that numerous times. Then I found Eddings and lost Tolkien. By that I mean that Eddings took first place in my list of things I reach for when I want some [...]

    • In his usually style, its a nice series of books, has some nice twists in it, maybe even a surprise or two if you dont try to outguess the author.I always enjoy his books, this series doesnt disappoint. If you are a fan, havent read these, I would recommend. Its a world with Gods walking among their worshippers, each in their own lands, until "that called Vlagh" decides it needsmore food for its children, and anyone and anything will be just that. Its an interesting blend and twist on Gods, who e [...]

    • I am a collector of books. When I like something, I keep it in order to reread it later or pass it on to someone I know. This entire series will be donated to a charity book sale. The Younger Gods is the fourth book in a 4 book series, and once you read the first one you know where the story is going. The tale is not complex at all, and barely supports a multi-book offering. Worse yet, the dialog is often trite, a sin compounded by the fact that numerous (often unimportant) events are rehashe [...]

    • The title says it all. I am sad. This was by far the worst series of books I have ever read. Actually if it wasn't written by David and Leigh Eddings I would have never finished the first book. Sadly though because of them I kept reading. This series had to have had the most disappointing ending of any books I have read. What were the authors thinking?I am going to be blunt here, I don't think those two actually wrote this series. I wrote a review on the first book and I referenced this didn't see [...]

    • A rather disappointing finish. The first few books were fairly enjoyable. I was starting to get into the characters, but this seemed like a complete "cop out". Perhaps the author was a big Dallas fan.No where near as impressive as were the Belgarion stories. I thought that this series was going to actually be about the era before the Belgarion line when the Gods were first forming the planet, and before the "schism" occurred creating the two alternative lines. I am almost afraid now to purc [...]
