    • I have had little interest in the events that take place after "Return of the Jedi" as far as the Expanded Universe go, but this one along with the "Jedi Academy" trilogy have changed my mind a lot on what "Star Wars" books I want to read, in this one five years have passed since the events of "Jedi" & Han & Leia are newly married & Han wants to start a family(imagine that), but Leia does not given her heritage, they go to Tattoonie to recover a lost painting thought to have been destroyed on Al [...]

    • This novel takes place very early in Han and Leia's marriage, following the couple on an exciting mission to Tatooine where they musttend an art auction? Not exactly Star Wars-level action here. Yes, the painting involved is crucial to the survival of many people, but it seemed like a weak plot. The whole novel seems to coast through, never raising the tension too much or hitting a real climax. It promises the reader a more intimate view inside Han and Leia's marriage - what that means is we g [...]

    • I loved this story! It was a great fun read focusing primarily on Leia and Han just after they had been married searching for a priceless piece of Alderaanian art that holds a cricial secret . I especially enjoy ed the focus on Leia dealing with the fact that Darth Vader is her father and what that means for her future family with Han.

    • If ever there was a such a beast as an essential star wars novel, this would be it.I must be getting old, but for a book that focuses entirely on one planet, with a small number of active characters and only a handful of "bad guys" this for me was one of the books of the year. The search for an oil painting that was an Alderaanian treasure, the ghost of a legendary Jedi, and the opportunity to get inside the head of one of the most beautiful characters ever created. This all adds up to a great way [...]

    • I liked this book. I enjoyed hearing of Leia's struggle with her feelings about her father. I also liked how the author used Schmi's journal to inform the reader of how she came to be free and married.
